MEET DON
A Selfless Leader of Public Safety and Community Service
My name is Don Schwab, a retired Everett firefighter and currently serving the community as your District 3 Councilmember and your City Council President. It has been an honor to serve for the last four years, and I humbly ask for your support for a second term.
During my 30 years as a firefighter, I have proudly served the families of the City of Everett in their time of need. My experience in the emergency services profession has taught me the power of resiliency, strength of our community, and the importance of service. In the last 4 years as your city council member, I have continued to see all of those things demonstrated by our residents at neighborhood meetings, community activities, and council meetings.
Everett has been my home for twenty-five years, and I have lived in the greater Puget Sound region my entire life. Over the past two decades, I have served a diverse population in a variety of capacities. Whether it was coaching and umpiring in the Mukilteo Little League, establishing the Mukilteo Girls Basketball Association, or creating food basket delivery for Volunteers of America, I have given back to Snohomish County’s youth, elderly and underprivileged. Higher education is of importance to me, and I am a past associate faculty at Everett Community College, where I taught part-time in the Fire Science program. Currently, I am a safety manager for Ziply Fiber.
I have been married to Kerri for 32 years. She is a dedicated faculty member at Everett Community College. We have two adult children, and as a family, we enjoy traveling, serving our church, sporting events, and outdoor activities, especially snow skiing.
